Job PurposeAs an Accounting Technical Services Manager, you will support audit and assurance work by providing assistance to Mazars' staff nationally on a number of diverse areas.
Role & ResponsibilitiesThe Accounting Technical Service Manager will be part of a team that collaborates well to successfully support our colleagues and clients and will be responsible for: Focusing primarily on providing technical accounting support to our audit teams across the UK which includes:Addressing accounting and financial reporting technical queries;Reviewing financial statements for compliance with IFRS and FRS 102;Providing tailored support to key audit client;Assisting with audit proposals;Being involved in Mazars Audit Quality monitoring process from a financial reporting perspective; andAssisting with the preparation of internal and external technical publications.
Supporting the Accounting Technical Services team on other accounting technical matters.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience You will have a sound technical understanding from completing your ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) accounting qualification and have robust technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP/FRS 102 and UK Company Law.
Experience of working at an Assistant Manager level or above in a professional services firm within a similar financial reporting role.
Experience with evaluating technical issues, analysing facts, consulting and delivering solutions to clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially writing formal reasoned technical responses.
Experience of writing technical publications will be beneficial.
The ability to prioritise and organise work, with strong attention to detail.
Works well with others in the team, maintaining high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self-development.
Experience of working with industry and services clients.
