We are a team of technologists, educators and entrepreneurs who are helping to transform an education system in which too many children still fall through the gaps.
We provide one-to-one maths tuition to Primary School pupils and GCSE level students across the UK, using our online platform to connect children to our global community of tutors.
Our company was founded in 2013 and is based near Aldgate, London.
We’re a team of 40 in our headquarters in London and we have a tutor community of over 800 based largely in Sri Lanka and India.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic there has been a noticeable shift towards online learning.
The demand has been heightened by the Government funded ‘National Tutoring Programme (NTP)’ of which we are an approved tuition provider.
In order to support the 1300+ schools we work with, we are expanding our Customer Support Team.
In this internship, you will play a key role in not only helping our new schools get off to the best possible start but also ensure the smooth experience of all our school customers.
You’ll achieve this by responding to general queries from customers via phone email and live chat and keeping a close eye on experience indicators, implementing initiatives to improve them.
In addition there will be the opportunity to get involved with other projects, such as improving user experience, and providing feedback to other teams.
We are looking for someone who will be able to start asap.
The internship will run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities Include Acting as the first point of contact for customers, dealing with queries effectively and efficiently to delight our customers.
Ensuring that new customers are on track in their onboarding and setup journey, providing guidance and support via phone calls, email and live chat where necessary Training customers on how to use our online platform to help ensure they are ready for their first session Work with schools to improve their experience wherever possible, aiming to secure schools contracts during renewal periods.
Dispatching necessary equipment to customers (e.
g.
headsets) You may be required to support other teams during busy periods if needed Requirements Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to build rapport over the phone A positive can-do attitude Willing to work independently as well as in a team, taking initiative to ensure tasks are managed effectively and efficiently Experience in education is a plus but not essential Clear passion and enthusiasm for our mission Working hours will be 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
