Fix It UK Ltd are looking to recruit committed, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individuals to work in our support team.
We require dedicated individuals to support our young people with learning disabilities, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, complex needs, mental health issues and aspects of challenging behaviour in all aspects of their daily livesThis is a great chance to really make a difference in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Class sizes are relatively small, at Fix It, compared with mainstream education this will give you the unique opportunity to work closely with young people, building a strong rapport, engaging them fully in their work.
The roles vary from mainstream inclusion work to specialist behaviour support within alternative provision.
Fix It UK Ltd is a charity specialising in vocational education provision concentrated specifically in the area of motor vehicle maintenance and repair.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an alternative education environment and ideally have some experience working with some aspects of engineering.
The following would be extremely advantageous in the role (see job description / person specification for detailed requirements)Be friendly, enthusiastic and caringHave passion for working with children with SENHave proven ability and be flexible working on a one-to-one basis and also with small groups of studentsLevel 2 or 3 TA Qualification would be advantageous (HLTA)A teaching qualification would be advantageousExperience of delivering personal care or a willingness to do soHave a knowledge of Team TeachThe posts will be employed on a part time basis working 35 hours per week for 41 weeks of the year (the 39 week school term plus 1 week prior to the start and 1 week after the end of the academic year)
