Ultimate Products Ltd are looking for committed and career-driven graduates to join our unique development programme in Summer 2020. If you’ve already graduated or due to graduate this year, our job roles offer dedicated training, development and experience!

At Ultimate Products, we recognise that grads often have a fantastic array of transferable skills but lack experience and role-specific training. That's where we come in. Our graduate programme combines on the job training with regular reviews, meetings and development plans to give our grads the best possible first step on the career ladder.

The Graduate Sourcing Specialist works as part of the Closeout buying team to source, develop relationships and negotiate with key brand/product suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

As Graduate Design & Brand Assistant you will be responsible for creating and maintaining all key design materials for our products, brands, websites and retail customers. This role is based within our wider Creative department and focuses on providing support to the Creative Artworkers and Concept Graphic designers.

  • Create Company product branding materials, including offer sheets, offer packs and corporate presentation documents, and maintain these on a regular basis.
  • Assist the Concept team, Sales and Buying departments with product branding materials such as graphic headers, posters, invites, and presentation boards which are used for our Showrooms and Exhibitions.
  • Maintain our branded websites, ensuring all information and branding is up to date and using the Adobe Suite to design new banners, layouts etc.
  • Assist the Artwork Team with basic retouching, editing and resizing of product imagery.
  • Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to edit branding, photography, and create 3d product packaging.
  • Manage PR elements for magazines, blogs & online and work alongside the copywriting team to supply correct copy and imagery.
  • Track the process of reserving, ordering and sending out products to our PR partners and competition winners.
  • Monitor our social media platforms and ensure new content is posted on a regular basis, including competitions and graphics.
  • Revise and update the company iPad with new product imagery, branded brochures and information

The role provides excellent training opportunities to improve your technical design skills and gain the experience to develop a career in the design area.

What we look for

Our ideal candidate will be a creative and commercially focused individual with an interest in pursuing a career in artwork and design. Application requirements:

  • Working knowledge of print production processes
  • Confident Mac user with excellent working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign CC
  • A meticulous eye for detail and strong creative visualisation skills
  • Ability to follow instruction and work to a defined brief
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with an attention to detail
  • Aptitude to work well under pressure on a number of projects simultaneously
  • Must be a team player with a great work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Local to Manchester
