The Role

An exciting and challenging opportunity is soon to be available for a Hospital Maintenance Engineer to join the team. We are looking for an electrically qualified multi skilled engineer to work in the hospital and to provide support to a wide variety tasks including regular pre planned maintenance, ad-hoc repairs as they occur, minor projects, and contractor support. The successful candidate will be expected to join the on call rota, and provide out of hours support to the hospital in emergency situations. Monday to Friday 8.00am – 16.00pm Some flexibility for hours worked will be required as some work has to be completed at weekends.

What you’ll bring with you

• Experience of maintenance procedures
• IOSH certificate
• Formal qualification certification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Be well organised, methodical, and able to plan work
• Can do friendly attitude
• Flexibility
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team
• Understanding of Hospital environment preferred but not essential
