We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing team on a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Job Purpose: To support and assist the marketing department to ensure that all key events and marketing plans, including digital marketing are aligned and delivered to the Institute’s strategic and operational plan.

Key remit of role: Co-develop and manage a schedule of Events throughout the year - ensuring that all Institute events are organised and successfully deliveredSupporting and executing both marketing and digital marketing strategy throughout the InstituteSupport the team with the design, execution and measurement of email campaigns;Develop, support and implement a range of promotional activities and to conduct analysis of such activities;Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, contacts and partners regarding themes and opportunitiesAssist with the implementation of the Institute’s marketing and digital marketing planPromote value of membership and develop new campaigns to continually improve, e.g. Mentoring and VolunteeringDuties & Responsibilities: EventsScheduling and organising of the Institute’s events throughout the year.

These include:o Young Banker of the Yearo Annual Banking Conferenceo CPD eventso Various webcastsUse analysis and research to develop proposals for Institute webcastsTake control of promotional activity to maximise engagement for each webcastSourcing speakersWriting briefing notes for the speakers & facilitating practice sessionsUpdating various databases and CRM with all activity undertakenAssisting with general queries from both internal and external stakeholders, advising or forwarding for guidance and/or supportReviewing post event questionnaires and feedback, providing insight to managementMarketingCopy editing of articles, literature and emails, reviewing and collaborating with external suppliers.

These include the Annual Report and Chartered Banker Magazine.

Collaborate with Head of Public Relations in promoting both the Institute and the Institute’s eventsContinually review the Institute’s website content strategy providing supporting statistics on changesSupport with the planning, development and implementation of the Institute’s marketing and communication strategies, to include online and social media strategies;Consult with all departments within the Institute providing support to each function ensuring the marketing strategy and business plan are achieved;Create and maintain promotional literature, including liaising with designers;Copywriting: creating engaging and relevant copy, ensuring a consistent brand message across a range of marketing channels in line with the Institute’s thought-leadership strategy;Coordinate marketing campaigns, measuring results and reporting on results and trends;Conduct monthly analysis of website activity and Institute marketing campaigns;Liaise with colleagues to gather and create content for newslettersEngage and collaborate with IT on all matters related with the website;Attend meetings as and when required across all areas of the Institute, sharing knowledge and expertise;Support the Marketing & Events Manager on any project and advertising work as and when required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: The job holder requires to have: 3-5 years previous experience in a similar Marketing & Events role is essential;Experience of Content Management Systems is essential;Experience in planning, hosting, and promoting events is essential;Strong experience in using online event platforms, like Zoom;Proven experience in supporting marketing strategies and developing/improving marketing functions;Strong experience of working and engaging with business stakeholders;Strong copy-writing skills, accustomed to targeting a range of audiences using different creative approaches and techniques;Excellent working knowledge of Social media, especially LinkedIn and Twitter;Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;Good working knowledge of Google Analytics;An understanding and a working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Microsoft Dynamics is desirable;Knowledge of Photoshop/design software along with basic skills of videography/photography are advantageous.
