Job Purpose

We are looking for a Software Product Designer (UI/UX) suerhero who’s goal is to help produce market leading digital products that delight our clients and users and above all else are simple to use. The beauty and desirability of the products that you help to design will lead to greater revenues through the business because more companies want to buy and keep our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Conducting user research
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems within user stories and product maps.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Designing user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets to form full Design systems
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how our products function and look like
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on business and user feedback
  • Own the Cirrus Design System and create and maintain new design systems for future products
  • Be able to quickly grasp user needs and solve problems
  • Keep up to date with competitor products and industry trends / cutting edge techniques

Knowledge, experience, skills, other attributes

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • A strong portfolio of successful UI/UX and other technical projects is essential
  • Possess high-level UI skills and be able to translate detailed requirements into interaction flows, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
  • Passionate about great design and exemplary user experience..
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Adobe XD, Figma, Adobe CC Suite, UX pin, Axure etc)
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with and collaborate within multi skilled teams across product, design, engineering.
  • Proven ability to implement innovative solutions
  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • A passionate for excellence and delivering the highest possible user experience for users through effective design and management of our products.
  • Experience working in an Agile development process

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree level Graphic Design, UI/UX or higher qualifications advantageous


  • Highly self-organised and able to manage and prioritise a significant workload with competing demands.
  • Able to communicate with a wide range of personas, with the ability to tailor the communication style to be appropriate to the audience.
  • Must be able to think creatively to overcome issues and problem solve in a systematic way.
  • Able to influence people, obtain buy-in and drive projects through.
  • Able to present your designs and concepts to a wide range of personas.

Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
