Project OfficerExperimental Cancer Medicine Centre Network (ECMC)
Salary: £22,950£25,000 pa dependent on experience
Contract type: 12 months FTC or secondment opportunity (secondment cover contract)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Location: Stratford Office-based with opportunities to work from home 1-2 days per week. Home-working during pandemic period with a return to the office in future.

The Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMCs) Project Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of key projects across a variety of disciplines within the ECMC Programme Office. In addition, the Project Officer is the first point of contact for ECMC and Centres queries, ensuring the smooth running of the operational, financial, logistical and administrative/process functions of the department .
Some of the key responsibilities you can expect are...
1. Administration
Responsible for providing administrative support for the ECMC Programme Office and all aspects of the Network’s administration
Assist in the delivery of strategic projects within the Programme Office providing project management support, data collation and other research activities
2. Communication
Support communication across the network by acting as the central contact point, responding to routine enquiries in an appropriate manner, redirecting complex enquiries where necessary
Support development and maintenance of the ECMC website, working with stakeholders to ensure information is up to date
2. Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with stakeholders including pharma companies and ECMC centres to support clinical research opportunities within the network
Manage dissemination and collation of research opportunities via agreed processes and systems
3. Meeting Organisation
Supporting Project Managers on the organisation and running of specific network meetings (including Annual Network Meeting with 200 delegates) and events including sourcing venues, room bookings, catering, registration, travel, accommodation, communication with speakers and delegates, virtual meeting requirements and on the day support
4. Financial
Processing invoices using appropriate internal systems
The key skills and experience we are looking for are...
Experience of providing administrative support
Good communication skills and confidence in acting as the central contact point, responding to routine enquiries in an appropriate manner, redirecting complex enquiries where necessary
Experience in engaging stakeholders including pharma companies and ECMC centres or similar
Experience in supporting Project Managers on the organisation and running of large internal and external network meetings
Understanding of how to process invoices using appropriate internal systems
