Full Time, Fixed Term - Researcher

This is an exciting opportunity for 2 Research Fellows to contribute to the development of a new interdisciplinary research network.

Based in the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment at Oxford Brookes University, the Research Fellows will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the University Creative Industries Research and Innovation Network, led by Professor Daniela Treveri Gennari.

The post is to be appointed from April 2021, for a duration of 24 months.

These 2 posts are based in the School of Arts, a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment with a strong tradition of excellence in teaching underpinned by world-class research and strong industry links in the professional fields of film, music, publishing, fine art, photography and digital media production.

The Creative Industries Research and Innovation Network is an exciting new initiative supported by the University bringing together researchers across all four Faculties to undertake interdisciplinary work which will impact on the fast growing sector in the UK.

It includes researchers in Humanities, Business and the Arts.

As Research Fellow in the Network, you will undertake independent research in an area appropriate for the Network and will also undertake activities (equivalent to 1 day per week) to foster the development of the network including the development of collaborative research.

Applications are encouraged from Researchers with a strong track record of relevant research and its implementation.

As Research Fellow in Creative Industries Research and Innovation Network you should have:

A good first degree in a field relevant to the study of the Creative Industries

PhD in an area relevant to the study of the Creative Industries

Experience as an independent researcher and/or at least three years postdoctoral or equivalent experience

Significant international publications in a relevant area

Experience of translating your research into practice in a relevant area.
