In this key worker role you don’t necessarily need experience as we provide full training.
In Andover we support three men and a lady who share a home together; and whom require 24-hour support. We also support another three men and a lady who share a lovely home, as well as a mature gentleman. This could be a full or part-time contract depending on availability. About the role:

You’ll support people to access their community to do the things they enjoy. One gentlemen, for example, enjoys visiting churches and castles, photography and eating out. Other individuals enjoy a wide range of activities; from car rides and train journeys, to eating out, going to the cinema and shows, and working on a farm.


You’ll also support people with everyday living, for example cooking, cleaning their homes and managing finances. You’ll support individuals with their personal care and medication needs. Find out about these aspects of the role through videos on our main website.
If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. About you: You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles.

All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support.

Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required and you may work some waking nights. The salary for these roles is £17,392 - £18,130 pa.

All support workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
