UK Health & Safety Program Manager
***This role can be located in any Fulfillment Center in the UK with possible aspects of travel around the UK***

You will be tasked with developing, tracking and delivering programs, which support Amazon’s strategic direction on EHS Performance and Associate Engagement. You will be responsible for looking at continuous improvement via metric driven data or other key engagement factors. Aligning to the Regional EHS Manager, you will be based on a regional level and spend time liaising with members of the Regional and EU EHS teams, attending meetings and calls, preparing and presenting data, preparing business cases and proposals. Aspects of travel will be involved from time to time.

Responsibilities
  • Organising and tracking programmes / objectives for the Regional EHS Team
  • Develop, review, approve and improve internal policies and procedures in the respect of the countries EHS legal requirements
  • Analysis of data trends and developing ideas to strengthen the strategic direction of the business via EHS
  • Implementing and tracking Safety alerts, procedures to the business with systems to enable and support site EHSM’s
  • Supporting launch site progress
  • Liaising with the EU Regulatory Intelligence Manager on Regulatory engagement
  • Ensuring an effective SME network at a Regional level
  • Aligning with members of the same role in the other regions to ensure standardisation at a EU level
  • Writing proposals and white papers with data to support / challenge where required
  • Define plans to ensure a full understanding / implementation of WW/EU EHS Procedures (GEMS) within the FC in the region
  • Conduct local assessments and audits
  • Ensure a robust incident investigation process (A3)
  • Coordinate programs to reduce the Serious Injuries in the network
  • Define programs to improve the Safety/Environment Leadership Index
  • Contribute to coordinate the FC within the region and to the SME/auditors skills development
  • Ensure a standardization of the best practices shared within the EU network
  • Work closely with key department stakeholders such as Engineering, Transportation, Procurement, Learning and Development, Real Estate, ..

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional language skills
  • Knowledge in Safety Software for tracking and documenting Safety data/metrics
  • Extensive working experience in EHS
  • An in-depth understanding of essential/relevant regional legislations
  • Ideally an experience with warehousing and logistics
