About the team:

Sutton Uplift provides evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., CBT, IPT) to people with common mental health problems (i.e., depression, anxiety disorders and eating disorders) within a stepped-care model. Managed by the Wellbeing Lead, the Wellbeing Service is a new and innovative step one expansion to the existing IAPT services provided by Sutton Uplift.

About the role:

We are looking for a team of Wellbeing Practitioners to play a crucial role in the development and delivery of consistent, high quality one-to-one interventions, group interventions, community outreach and co-production sessions.

The post holder will support individuals and communities to improve access to psychological therapies through the delivery of psycho-social interventions in community and primary care settings. The role will involve one-to-one work, targeted group work, assessments and interventions including signposting and supporting clients to access a range of services provided by Sutton Uplift and the voluntary and community sectors. You will be using a strength based approach to empower and motivate those who access our services.

Successful applicants will be passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of individuals as well as the wider community. You will be skilled in engaging a variety of stakeholders and be able to positively challenge stigma and discrimination towards mental health in the community. You will have experience working directly with people in a health and social care setting, ideally using evidenced based practices to facilitate sustainable change.
