Position Summary

Due to business growth we are seeking an Accounting Manager based in our Leicester offices. This is a new position required to perform the duties of an Accounting Manager role within the Financial Accounting process for UK & International Finance

Duties

Reporting
  • Produce Year on Year Plan/Forecast P&L and BS variance analytics at entity level.
    • Lead on entity internal and external audits, produce ETB and Statutory Accounts Disclosures and assist is the completion of Tax Packages
      • Create analytical tools, reports from Khalix and Cognos to assist with accounting reviews or presentation of results. Budgeting
        • Produce annual budgets for the finance function. Working with Change
          • Look for ways of improving the process.
            • Assist with development and review of appropriate technology/software to improve process or functionality of current systems. Team Working
              • Work effectively with Teams within the Financial Accounting Function based in Leicester and Derby; including General Ledger Finance Team, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
                • Interact with Operational Senior Management Team, attend meetings and present financial data as required.
                  • Involvement with ad-hoc projects working with Business Analysts where required.
                    • Ensure that you have a full understanding of each area within your remit. Required Experience

                      Essential
                      • Fully qualified ACCA, ACMA, ACA or CIMA.
                      • Previous experience in a similar role and corporate environment.
                      • Advanced Level competency in software packages, to include Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications.
                      • Advanced ability to present detailed financial data or performance results comprehensively to Senior Management.
                      • Advance report writing ability including graphics and detailed analysis.
                      • Ability to escalate issues.
                      • Educated to a Degree or equivalent level.
                      • Self motivated and enthusiastic.
                      • Excellent communicator.
                      • Ability to work under pressure.
                      • Questions the status quo.
                      • Team worker.
                      • Excellent attention to detail.
                      • Good planning and organisational skills. Preferable
                        • Exposure in international operations.
                        • Problem solver
                        • Car driver.
                        • Proficient report writer in Khalix, Cognos.
