The global Fashion Branding and Promotion programme and our similarly global Communication Design programme consist of passionate and dedicated academics from a range of backgrounds, with distinct and diverse specialisms, including communication design, branding, advertising and promotion and design. Both programmes are delivered collaboratively within both our Dubai and UK campuses. The team contributes to the delivery of the discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and form active members of numerous professional and educational networks and bodies, relating the success of the fast-growing discipline to a broader network of design educators at an international scale.
You will actively contribute to the development of our exciting new Fashion Branding and Promotion also Communication Design programmes, focusing specifically on and around photography and digital media in its most creative forms, and be experienced in learning, teaching and assessment at HE level. An enthusiastic and visionary academic who will support and encourage students to achieve their full potential, you will have the ability to develop live, collaborative projects and demonstrate a willingness to engage creatively in the wider activities of the School.
You will be highly professional and a committed team player, flexible in approach with excellent communication, timekeeping and organisational skills and be willing to adapt to the duties associated with the role.
You will possess a strong understanding of contemporary practice, issues and current debate within branding. This will underpin your passion for enhancing your own practice and will inform you knowledge of the skills and attributes required by graduates for employability.
Our indicative areas of teaching may include such subjects as photography, graphic design, creative digital media, art direction amongst others.
Given the relatively broad nature of the subject we may also expect you to contribute teaching of courses to other programmes from time to time.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- We require a minimum Master's Degree and a PhD
- A record of achievement in professional practice commensurate with appointment at this level
- Recognised teaching qualification, i.e. PGCert/PGCap or membership/fellowship of higher education academy. Or be committed to achieving this within 2 years of appointment. For all criteria, further details and how to apply:
