We are seeking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of Engineering Apprentices at Ardagh Glass Doncaster!

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Assisting the engineering teams with maintenance tasks
  • Learning about the application of engineering within manufacturing
  • Developing skills in mechanical engineering
  • Learning from others, following instructions carefully
  • Gaining a sound knowledge of the plant equipment and facilities
  • Developing an understanding of Continuous Improvement
  • Communicating both face to face and by email
  • Familiarisation with the company’s systems and procedures
  • Some administrative duties, data entry and maintaining accurate records The ideal candidate will have:
    • Have an inquisitive and questioning mind, and a desire to learn from others
    • Have an interest in manufacturing engineering
    • Have an eye for accuracy and attention to detail, and be able to work to high quality standards
    • Be confident and have the ability to work independently, in an organised way
    • Have strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
    • Have a high regard for safety, quality, compliance, systems and procedures
    • A technical mind with a methodical approach to tasks and problems
    • Be motivated and enthusiastic to attend college & achieve their qualification
    • Have a minimum grade 4 (C) GCSE in Maths, English and Science (or equivalent) What we offer:
