Job Description :

ROLE- Engineering Manager
LOCATION- Exeter
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000- £55,000 per annum + bonus, pension, healthcare

My client is a market-leading manufacturer. They are looking for an Engineering Manager to provide specialist advice and service to all departments within the company to deliver planned and unplanned maintenance of all machinery and equipment.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Engineering and Manufacturing related activities
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety awareness, creating a healthy relationship with the health and safety department, integrating them into the department decision making when required
  • Management and leadership of the team, identifying any training and development requirements as appropriate
  • Communicate demand throughout the production environment
  • Overseeing both mechanical and electrical manufacturing functions
  • Monitoring production to resolve issues
  • Ensuring output meets quality standards Required and desired skills needed:
    • Proven experience working with a similar manufacturing company
    • Degree level in a mechanical or electrical discipline, or equivalent qualification and/or experience
    • Ability to work in a pressured environment whilst maintaining relationships with other departments
    • Excellent knowledge of high-tech engineering and manufacturing
    • Experience in a highly regulated sector and following ASME and ISO standards
    • Solid understanding of engineering disciplines (welding, machining, finishing and assembly)
