Engineering Supervisor (Mechanical)

North Bristol

Rotating Days/Nights Shift Pattern

£40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor sought for a well established and forward thinking manufacturer based in North Bristol. The company are extremely well thought of in their industry and have lots to offer, whether its skills based development, position progression or earning potential.

First and foremost, the successful candidate will be a hands on, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, ideally with a mechanical bias. You will have had experience working in a production/manufacturing based maintenance engineering role with some exposure to supervisory or management duties. Candidates should hold some form of recognised engineering qualification, along with demonstrable experience working in a similar role or environment.

Working as part of a 15 man engineering function, you will be leading a small team of maintenance engineers. You will be responsible for: ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, monitoring contractors on site, working with the electrical lead to ensure resource is distributed to priority engineering areas, carrying out reviews with colleagues and much more. This is a varied role which would suit those already in a supervisory/management role or senior engineers looking to step up into such role.

The person:

Time served, mechanically biased engineer

Excellent fault diagnostic skills

Previous experience as a supervisor or manager

Relevant engineering qualification

The role:

Supervising a multi-skilled team in conjunction with electrical supervisor

Distributing engineering resource to priority areas

Rotating days/ nights shift pattern

£40,000- £45,000 + Benefits
