Job Description :

My public sector client is looking for a 'Head of Engineering' to join them on a permanent basis. This role has developed due to a period of exponential growth that the company is experiencing. They are known for being the UK's leading port service provider.

As the Head of Engineering, you will support the engineering team ensuring the scope of the work is clear, deadlines are met and objectives align with the business requirements and functionalities.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a similar setting, managing engineering work scope in a multi disciplined environment.

Essential Skills
  • Equivalent experience to Head of or Managerial level
  • Leadership Skills (Senior Stakeholders)
  • Previously worked in a similar organisation (Manufacturing industry)
  • Strong engineering knowledge
  • A Good understanding of market analysis to identify new business opportunities
  • Project Management Skills
  • Effective team working skills and collaboration Desirable Skills
    • Strong communication skills written and verbal
    • Team player Qualifications
      • Degree level or equivalent
      • Member of a relevant professional body This role is Hybrid based in Tilbury (Essex), Salary Dependent on Experience + Excellent benefits package
