We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our super talented Gaming Product Design team. Our Product Designers and UX Researchers are responsible for defining and designing all of Sky Vegas’ digital products, as well as Sky Bingo, Sky Casino and Sky Poker. We are open and collaborative in our methods, innovative and proactive in our work, and inclusive and supportive as a team. We work closely with other teams to identify new opportunities that will stand our products apart, whilst always understanding and representing the needs and behaviours of our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You’ll manage and inspire a team of Designers working closely with the User Research Lead in the same function, also working collaboratively with the business to help shape the overall Design & UX strategy, whilst placing the user at the heart of your approach. Reporting to the Head of Product Design & UX you will become a member of the wider Product Design leadership team, help shape our ways of working and communities of practice, and primarily oversee all parts of our process to maintain and grow our User Centred Design approach. Having previous leadership experience in the digital industry, you’ll have developed expert UX and UI skills and a rich diversity of experience to call upon, including the management and mentoring of others. You’ll have a natural passion for all things Product Design and UX Research, and a desire to create the most engaging and optimal user experiences for our customers.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

Leading and inspiring others. As a People Manager, you’ll manage and mentor a team of Product Designers, supporting their personal development and inspiring them on a daily basis through your expertise, creative thinking and natural leadership style.

User first thinking. You will have vast experience in designing solutions and digital experiences that put the user first.

Research and creative direction. You will play a key role in helping lead the creative vision within Product Design, whilst setting the overall standards of our design work to ensure that Sky Vegas and our other products are best in class.

Resource planning. You will work closely with Product Owners and your Lead User Research counterpart to ensure projects are effectively resourced and delivered by the team in line with business objectives.

Gaming expertise. Experience of, and passion for, online gaming would be advantageous to contribute to and shape new in-product game ideas and types, such as Prize Machine, which is a key component of our primary user journeys.
