Technical Support Specialist - T-SQL
Woking, Surrey
Hybrid Working From Home

Technical Support Specialist needed for our leading client based in Woking, Surrey, who are looking to employ an experienced Technical Support Specialist - with an in-depth knowledge of 2nd line technical support, trouble shooting & diagnosing system issues that arise from live applications using T-SQL with a knowledge of relational databases

The successful Technical Support Specialist will want to work for this client not just because it's a great opportunity but also because they will give you a wealth of benefits including:

  • Hybrid working from home Some of the main duties of the Technical Support Specialist will include:
    • Providing 2nd line technical support to clients and the development team.
    • Investigating, triaging and problem-solving technical and system issues that arise from live applications.
    • Troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues using T-SQL and knowledge of relational databases.
    • Acting as a point of escalation for the 1st line support team.
    • Creating ad-hoc reports using T-SQL to fulfil client requests.
    • Escalate issues quickly to third line support when appropriate to do so.
    • Assisting 3rd line support with build and deployment of software releases.
    • Assisting with the testing of software changes to ensure client needs are met. In order to be the successful Technical Support Specialist and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
      • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
      • An analytical mind, capable of understanding complex data structures and bespoke business concepts.
      • Experience of T-SQL including queries, stored procedures and functions.
      • Comprehensive understanding and experience of software and databases.
      • Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
      • Understanding of basic Windows operating system and networking principles.
