Part Time Post: 14.50 hours per week
Salary: £26,715-£30,046 per annum pro rata
We are looking to appoint a Technician Tutor to support the photographic activities of our lens-based courses with an emphasis on BA and MFA Photography. This post predominantly supports learners working within our dedicated digital imaging suite containing iMacs, Adobe software, negative scanners, and photographic printers. The post holder will also teach and support camera usage and studio practices while providing ad-hoc cover to the analogue photographic areas.
You will have excellent knowledge and familiarity with a range of camera formats, strong IT troubleshooting skills and professional level experience of using Lightroom, Photoshop and InDesign as a minimum. You will also be required to compile learning materials and deliver technical workshops and tuition in a range of photographic areas.
You will contribute to the care and maintenance of equipment and be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
The pro rata salary for this position will be £10,686-£12,018 per annum
